What a weekend!

Well, I am still trying to get in the habit of updating this blog, and I will definitely do better from now on!
We just had a great weekend! Saturday, Alan DJed up in Liberty at WynBrick for Amanda Folsom and Brian Denny! Congratulations to a great couple!
I played music for a ceremony and reception at Lone Summit Ranch just east of Lee’s Summit. Congratulations to Seth Fleming and his new wife Susan! Boy, Susan is a dancing machine! She hardly left the dance floor all night!
Then, Sunday morning, we took off for Mansfield, MO…where? It’s a tiny town in southern Missouri that is home to the Bakersville Seed Company. They had live music, gardening speakers, shops, and one of the largest collections of heirloom seeds! Alan and I are getting into gardening, and although Alan has a lot of knowledge about gardening and plants…I learned a lot! We got home late last night and have several meetings with brides this week!

Wow! Where did the year go? Alan and I have been really busy lately with wedding shows. We did 3 shows in 10 days! The summer is looking pretty full!

We are extremely excited to announce that we are now the in house DJs at the Lone Summit Ranch on 50 Hwy East of Lee’s Summit! It is a gorgeous 650 acre estate, with a beautiful gazebo overlooking the lake for wedding ceremonies, and a grand ballroom that can seat 400 people!

Alan has already installed the screen, high-definition projector, and a few lights to showcase the dance-floor. We are looking forward to working with Robin and her amazing staff!

I am currently planning our daughter Sydney’s first birthday party! I am so excited, but i just can’t believe she is almost one already!!

Special Olympics

Years ago, when Alan was in the Army, he worked with the Special Olympics in the Seattle area. He wanted BerryGood to help in some way in the Kansas City area. So, we met with Luke and Abby with the Special Olympics of Kansas last week and they are incredible people! We are so excited to work with them on their next three fundraising and entertainment events. On Spetember 22, there is a wonderful “Black Tie” affair in Mission Hills. On November 15 at the KC Gift mart they are having a 50’s themed event with silent auction! And on November 21, we will be Djing for around 1,000 athlese and their families! We’re Back!!

Hey, Everyone!

Ok, I’ve been a very bad girl and haven’t written in an awfully long time. That little girl of our keeps us busy! Little Sydney is 4 months old now. I just can’t believe it! She is growing so fast!

This summer has been filled with exciting events! We have met so many nice families during this wedding season! We ran the karaoke tent at Puddle Jumper Days in Odessa. That’s always a good time. It’s like a family reunion for us…getting to see all our singing buddies from Ricochet’s. Last weekend we entertained at Sairah and Ryan’s wedding reception…a couple of karaoke fans. The bride and her dad even challenged each other to a “Sing-Off” towards the end of the reception. What fun and what talent!

This weekend we are off to the Blue Springs Country Club to DJ for two other friends…Kat and Jeff. Looking forward to it guys!

Well, I need to sign off for now! The baby just woke up from her nap!

What’s up with BerryGood? - 1/18/08

What a week! Last Saturday we had a booth at the KC Weddings Bridal Show at the Overland Park Convention Center. It was an awesome show! We met a lot of really nice brides, and so far have booked about 12 events from that show.

We are looking forward to the Perfect Wedding Guide Show in Topeka this weekend! It’s a two day show this Saturday and Sunday (Jan 19 & 20). We also got some new LED lights to try out in our booth this weekend! We love lights!!!

With all our knowledge of music mixing and playing software you would think we would have had an easier time figuring out how to create our blog. But we did it, so expect great things! We plan on posting about most of our events, highlighting experiences that we think you (the potential client) might find useful!

Or maybe we’ll just post about how the construction of our house is coming along!
